I was wondering when applying for MBA school programs, how do they convert your GPA?

1.) I went to a community college and got a D in one of my non-transferable courses. If I were to retake the course and get an A this time will it still count or average it out even if i were to ask for a "grade-renewal"?

2.) I transferred to a 4 year undergraduate school, and my cumulative gpa here is 3.8. Do MBA programs only look at the cumulative GPA from the degree granting institution or will they look at all the colleges I went to and calculate them as a whole?

Is this a correct GPA calculated process till ever? I don't think so that it'd take place in near future.
If you wanna to get tips on your chances for admissions to top MBA programs. Get advice on how to approach the upcoming MBA admissions season. Anyways, don't be panic yourself.

Don't worry about the D. Take the GMAT, get the score that proves your worth, and be on your way to a solid grad school. If the D didn't transfer you are golden, which the 3.8 indicates. Nice work and good luck in the future. The one thing you need to realize too is that when you enter the job market, a degree is a degree (http://davidfweisman.blogspot.com/2011/05/book-review-art-of-war.html), and your GPA is an added bouns.
