The assignment is based on the attached Pearson Education case study.
You are required to submit an essay of not more than 2,000 words (excluding

1. present the main external factors influencing Pearson Education using a
STEEPLE/PESTLE analysis (the full analysis should be included as an appendix

2. present a SWOT analysis of Pearson Education (the full analysis can be included

3. outline and critically discuss three appropriate concepts, models and/or
frameworks introduced in the other core units of study (International Business
Context and Management Functions) of your programme and demonstrate how
these can be used to analyse the operations of Pearson Education.

although it may not feel like it it will be more difficult to keep to 2000 words, meaning you will probably write 3000+ and then have to take a knife to your hard work.

The First Part "1. present the main external factors influencing Pearson Education using a STEEPLE/PESTLE analysis" is about defining where Pearson Education finds themselves today.

The second part "2. present a SWOT analysis of Pearson Education" is a summary of the internal and external evironments, but still within the "where are we now" phase


The third part "3. outline and critically discuss three appropriate concepts, models and/or frameworks and demonstrate how these can be used to analyse the operations of Pearson Education." is again a view of the internal environment, we would suggest you start with Porter's Value Chain, showing the the core chain of activities involved in running a business. And McKinsey 7S Framework is a model that describes seven factors to organize a business organization in an effective manner

The assignment is not difficult it will take some time and effort but you can do it by following the simple steps bellow
1. read the theory about PEST and SWOT analysis
2. Identify the parameters to be considered for your case study
3. Diagrammatically represent your data (it will save your words and interest the evaluator)
4. 3rd part will be theoretical, try to gather more data from company websites and literature. focus on historical data and statistics
