Hi,
Some briefing about “International Business”:

- Provides knowledge about facing management challenges and dilemmas associated with business activity in multicultural environments within the United States and among other countries.
- Provides the knowledge and sensitivities to more effectively identify, understand and manage the cultural components of organizational and business dynamics.
- Topics include cultural value awareness, cross-cultural communication skills, cross-cultural management skills (strategic planning, organizational design, and leadership) and creating and managing a globally competent work force.

This specialization course would be beneficial for you, if you are interested in opening your own company in the near future. And if you are getting better prospects then apply for ME in I.T. It would enhance your I.T. skill.

Yes you can do that, One of the best colleges in India conducting an international business MBA course is Symbiosis institute of International Business, a BE + MBA is always preferred by companies too.

this specialization is particularly suite you if you plan a career in organizations that operate beyond geographical boundaries. For example, parent companies having foreign subsidiaries, traditional import export oriented business firms and public sector companies involved in cross-border and multi-domestic transactional issues.

role would be very dynamic, lot of client interaction might happen, you must have an open mind and understand and respect for different cultures and business methodologies followed in different parts of the world

your IT experience will also add value for sure

I have to say that your choice of selecting international business as your elective is a very good one now with the liberalization policy recently adopted by the government. Various opportunities haveopened up in this field. Opportunities that are available in organizations engaged both in export and import. Also various public sector houses and other organizations are looking for international business management graduates. IBs often provide one with the knowledge of countering management challenges and understand the world of business dynamics much better!

Choosing International Business as your MBA specialization is indeed a great option, but are you aware of the type of work you can get? There are plenty of businesses these days that are looking to expand into international markets, which is why careers in this area are said to be growing at such a rapid pace. Usually these kinds of job focus on relation management and business strategies that are sensitive to international issues. The electronics and the computer industry are just two areas to look at, and since you're a BE I.T graduate it would be a big advantage for you.
